A Cork in the Ocean

When I had my worst times, God put the visual of me being a cork in the ocean in my head. Yep, a cork. And there I was, bobbing up and down in the vast ocean with no land in sight.

But guess what? I was floating. Floating in the buoyancy of God's mercy and love. HE was the one that was in control. HE was the one keeping me afloat. I wasn't sinking. I was floating and completely safe in His care.

But the reality is that I also didn't have the ability to steer my destiny ... I HAD to give it up to Him and trust that He was taking me in the right direction.

I pray it's the same for you, dear heart. Things will work out in the best way possible. That just might not be in the way you're thinking right now.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
