Choosing a Gynecologist with Kristina Calligan, FNP

After a breast cancer diagnosis, your choice of gynecologist becomes very important. Because of physical issues that can occur post-cancer, it's important to find a gyny with whom you can communicate well and that you like. But perhaps the most important factor in choosing a gyny is to find one who is familiar with issues that cancer thrivers might experience and one who keeps up to date on the latest solutions in their field of study. 

Remember that "interviewing" doctors is a totally acceptable practice. It's a very common occurrence that patients see different doctors for second, and even third or fourth, opinions. Trust your gut, and don't settle. You'll be served well by choosing wisely!
