I Have a New Role Model

I'm almost 62 years old. It's a great age. With age comes so many benefits. Wisdom. Patience. Not sweating the small stuff because you realize everything is the small stuff. And so much more. It's a sweet time as so much of the "work" is behind you and you have time to reflect on what you've accomplished and what your legacy will be.

When I saw this picture and post by Natália Alves on Instagram a few weeks ago, I stopped in my tracks. This. THIS is who I want to be when I "grow up."

I hope Aurora's beautiful spirit and story below blesses you as much as it did me.

"At age 33, a breast tumor, a mastectomy, and 100 radiotherapy sessions.

"At age 34 she took serum on her left arm, where there was not enough circulation, and because of a clinical error, a permanent swelling occurred.

"At 52, one more breast tumor, one more mastectomy, and some chemotherapy sessions.

"Today at 72, she has beaten all the 'monsters' that crossed her path! And still living beautifully, squandering health, and happiness wherever it goes ..

"This is my grandma, my love, my warrior...

"This is my Aurora ..."

Take the test and declare your love to yourself.
