Friends, I know you will be blessed by meeting Samantha Peacock, this week's Thrivers Thursday guest! Sam is a nurse who was diagnosed in 2020 with TNBC. She also found out she was BRCA1+.
Her story is so inspirational! Like many of us, when she was diagnosed, her first reaction was, "I don't have TIME for breast cancer!" Being diagnosed in her 30s presented her with some unique challenges and opportunities, including a new way to decrease her chances of getting ovarian cancer through a revolutionary new hysterectomy surgical plan.
You'll laugh, applaud and cry at the journey that Sam has taken. We appreciate you encouraging our community, Sam! THANK YOU!
Update from Samantha in June 2021
"I did have just my tubes removed, and I’m doing well. My doctor recommends having my ovaries out by 45 due to my BRCA 1 mutation. I have since then had my implant exchange surgery and I am so happy to have those awful things out."
